Communication Officer Employment Application

Department:  Jefferson County E911   (JEFFCOM)

Salary Range :  $16.26  -  $23.45  /  hour

 

General Statement:  JeffCom, the Jefferson County E911 center, is testing and open competitively to all qualified applicants, for Entry level, level I and level II Communication Officers.  Lateral transfers are encouraged to apply.  In a multi-jurisdictional dispatch center, and under general supervision, employees will answer 911 and other emergency telephone systems, and perform radio dispatch of operational and emergency police, fire and medical calls for assistance.  Employees perform a wide variety of computer transactions and record functions related to dispatching fire, medical and law enforcement activities.
